Appeals Court Strikes Down FCC Indecency Rule
FCC Indecency Rule struck down? Hopefully this survives if they appeal to the Supreme Court.
A three-judge panel in New York says a rule on unscripted expletives on live broadcast TV and radio creates a ‘chilling effect’ in violation of the 1st Amendment. The ruling is a major victory for broadcast networks.
George Steinbrenner, Dead at 80
George Steinbrenner, owner of the NY Yankees, died today. He was 80.
George Steinbrenner, who bought a declining Yankees team in 1973, promised to stay out of its daily affairs and then, in an often tumultuous reign, placed his formidable stamp on 7 World Series championship teams, 11 pennant winners and a sporting world powerhouse valued at perhaps $1.6 billion, died Tuesday morning. He was 80 and lived in Tampa, Fla. The Yankees announced the death without giving a cause.

Would I Worship?
A pretty straightforward question it would seem. Jen McCreight, of Boobquake fame, over at the Blag Hag posed this question on a recent blog post. Her question was “If you knew God was actually real, would you worship him?” On it’s surface it is pretty simple. The answer is “depends on the god.” But as I have been thinking about that I’ve come to realize that the question is really deeper in some ways and deserves a better answer. Here is my attempt to fully answer the question.
