WordPress hack out in the wild?

May 11, 2010 · Posted in Tech, The Internet · Comment

Looks like there may be another WP security hack out there.  If you are using WP best to check your site.

According to various reports, in the past few days a number of websites created using WordPress have been hacked. While the attack initially appeared to be limited to web sites hosted by American ISP DreamHost, it has since become apparent that blogs hosted at GoDaddy, Bluehost and Media Temple have also been affected. Unconfirmed reports by WPSecurityLocksuggest that other PHP-based management systems, such as the Zen Cart eCommerce solution, have also been targeted.

TSA Penis Joke Causes Fight

Yup, that’s a blog post title I thought I would never use.  Anyway, you know those full body scanners?  The ones that should have no privacy concerns, are fully secure, non-invasive, and safe?  Well I dunno about that.

Seems a TSA employee got mad and opened up a can of whoop ass when some people made fun of Mr. Winky for being a bit too small.

According to a local NBC report, sources say Negrin became embarrassed and angry by a supervisor’s jokes as he walked through the machine.

Yeah, these aren’t invasive at all.   And we see the TSA can handle the responsibility, right?

Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride – Finance Style

May 6, 2010 · Posted in Drunken Blogging · Comment

Talk about a wild ride.  I’ve been hearing a few stories on why it happened.  Everyone is pointing to some kind of glitch or mistake.  What I do know is you had stocks drop $100 or more in a matter of seconds and come back up.  One stock went from $40 to $0.01 and back up in forty five seconds.

The conspiracy nut in me want to say someone did this to make out big.  Oh and it hit everyone, not just the Dow.

The drop from Google Finance.
