Just after Obama ok’d off shore drilling this happened.  The official response?

White House adviser David Axelrod said on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” “All he has said is that he is not going to continue the moratorium” on drilling. As for moving forward, he added, “No additional drilling has been authorized, and none will until we find out what happened here and whether there was something unique and preventable here.”

Glad to see at least they are stopping for now.  Maybe they were on to something back in 1969?

Gizmodo is reporting that the MS Courier tablet book thingie has been cancelled.

From MS:

At any given time, we’re looking at new ideas, investigating, testing, incubating them. It’s in our DNA to develop new form factors and natural user interfaces to foster productivity and creativity. The Courier project is an example of this type of effort. It will be evaluated for use in future offerings, but we have no plans to build such a device at this time.

So was it just vaporware to try and steal some thunder.  Or between the iPad and HP buying Palm they decided no point?
